PROCESS
Following the assignment guidelines, I started by generating a random album-cover image and band name. These initial elements inspired the concept of “Galante” and their debut album, Must Be Rebuilt Everyday. I envisioned the group to be a politically charged hip-hop group rooted in the Caribbean Islands.
INSPIRATION
I drew inspiration from bold, expressive artists and bands whose album covers struck me. I found myself fascinated by the interplay of gritty spray paint, precise stenciling, and the immediacy of handwritten text. Dark, warm tones emerged naturally as they complimented the hues of the image while strengthening the mood I aimed to evoke.
