PROCESS
To begin this project, I randomly selected a graphic designer from a hat—I picked David Carson. I then started researching his background, projects, and signature grunge style.
INSPIRATION
Carson’s experimental layouts in Ray Gun quickly became a major source of inspiration for my own approach. By rejecting conventional structure in favor of chaotic, intuitive compositions, he created pages that felt raw and alive. His willingness to push boundaries ultimately challenged the design field to rethink legibility, order, and the role of convention itself.
